I was born on the 31st of December 1980. I am the third born in a family of six. I did my primary education in Chiweshe at Bhobho Garande School. I completed my grade 6 in 1995, but I was not able to write the final Grade 7 examinations due to financial difficulties at home.
I started stone carving in 1992 during weekends and after school. I used to assist Jack Jonasi a prominent artist who inspired me to become interested in stone sculpting. In 1997 I went to Tengenenge with some of my sculptures to begin my career there as a solo artist.
Over the years I developed my own style of art creations. My art is based on the environment especially birds, flowers and abstract sculptures with feelings. During my free time, I mine for raw cobalt and opal stones as these are two stone types I have experience working on. I also benefit from the relationship I have with the Bhobho Garande community where I still stay in procuring these raw stones. Currently I am working at the Chitungwiza Arts Center and joined the center in 2009. I have sold my artworks worldwide to countries like New Zealand, Norway, Japan, China, Korea, America and many more. In 2007 I was nominated as being amongst the three best artists from Chiweshe by the National Arts Gallery of Zimbabwe (NAGZ).
My wish as an artist is to travel the world and participate in international and regional workshops and exhibitions.
