Graham Rugoyi was born on the 13th of July 1983 in the City of Chitungwiza in Zimbabwe. He did his primary education at Zengeza 5 and later proceeded to Zengeza 3 High School where he did his junior Certificate level, and completed his Ordinary level at Mt Carmel High School. He was good at art during his school going days and started stone curving under the guidance of Ignatious Zhuwakiyi a second Generation artist.
He also worked with Raymond Chirambadare and Daniel Baradza to whom he gave assistance in of washing, rasping and chasing of sculptures, which was a great learning experience for Rugoyi. He joined the Chitungwiza arts Centre in the year 2001.
He participated at the Germany Embassy on an event sponsored by one Christine Derlh; at Agio in 2006, and 2007; in 2008 he competed for the NAMA Awards. Graham has sold his artwork as far as USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Holland, Korea, China, Australia, France, Dubai, South Africa and Russia.
Graham specialize in abstracts creations of birds, flowers and human figurative such as torsos. He is married to Tracy Zhou and they are proud parents of two children.
