If giving was not hard everyone would be doing it. I have discovered that the secret of happiness is to count your blessings especially during festivities such as this season. Everyone has a resource to give and to bless the next person. A warm smile, a please or a thank you, a gift, a meal and maybe a nice hug. Instead of laying on your horn in traffic or pushing your way to the front of a line, take the time to make others’ days a bit happier and you will find you have given yourself the gift of happiness.

This Festive Season, give something. To your enemy, forgiveness, to an opponent, tolerance, to a friend your heart, to a customer, good service, to all, charity and to every child, a good example. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of the Festive Season.

Think of doing something good for someone this season. Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle . Do your part and I will do mine.

Proverbs 3:27; “Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it”.
