The Sculpting of a masterpiece Part 2

This is a follow up to my first post where I am taking you through the process of sculpting a stone sculpture. In my last article Isaac Choloka, the artist whose sculpture I am featuring had acquired the raw springstone and was not yet decided on what he wanted to sculpt. He said he wanted to communicate with the raw stone first to find out what the raw stone wanted to become.

It took Choloka close to one week to communicate with the raw stone, now he has finally decided and he is quite excited about the sculpture.

Stage 2: The Sketch

Choloka starts by sketching his stone sculpture as shown on the picture. I looked at the sketch and wondered what it is that he is sculpting. I asked him and he challenged me to look closely at the sketch and tell me what he wants to sculpt.

I only got an idea of what he may want to sculpt after a very close and long look at the sketch.

Now I need you to look at the sketch closely and tell me what you think he is sculpting.

We will find out in Part 3 if you got it right.
