The Victoria Falls Carnival announced the Elephant Hills Resort as this year’s venue moving away from the traditional Victoria Falls Primary school that has hosted the carnival since inception.
The Elephant Hotel is situated just 4 kilometers from the mighty Victoria Falls. The main stage will be set up on the driving range of the resort centre right next to the mighty Zambezi river.
This year’s show is set from the 29th of April to 1 May 2022 with South Afriocan amapiano hitmakers DJ Maporisa and Kabza De Small featured to entertain the crowd.
This year’s carnival which is happening after the Mapopoma Ferstival is expected to come in handy in reboosting tourism in the resort town after being adversely affected by the global covid-19 pandemic.
Organisers of the carnival have also added Boity and Shimza to the line-up. The two South African artists will be joined by Zimbabwean fusion trio Djembe Monks, resident band Flying Bantu, progressive producer Nitefreak, and DJ Tashinga.
Zimbabwean musicians Sha Sha, Nutty O and Gemma Griffiths, and Botswana’s Khoisan, among others.
Day 1 For the Grand Opening night of their 10th Edition Carnival, Vic Falls Carnival kick off celebrations with the Amapiano Scorpion Kings – DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. Start your Carnival Experience early with a night of the best in live Afro beats and Amapiano.
Day 2 After a fun-filled day in Vic Falls National Park, where one can take part in a host of adventure activities, dance the night away with ‘Jerusalema’ hitmaker Master Master KG and a host of other top Artists and Performers at the Electric Safari Experience.
Day 3 will be ending off the carnival with a Secret Picnic Bush Party. Expect laid-back vibes with various Live Acts on the day, as well as delicious local cuisine and craft brew. What better way to celebrate the last day of the Carnival Experience than with a Sunday feast?
The annual festival returns after a two-year hiatus to mark its 10-year anniversary. The festival celebrates Africa’s diverse culture, food and arts, and adventure activities like white water rafting and bungee jumping. All festivalgoers will be eligible to receive 10% discount on all adventure packages when booking with a festival ticket.
The festival is currently running a competition for an all-expenses paid trip to the Vic Falls Carnival worth $20 000.
