TOP Jamaican dancehall chanter, Beenie Man – real name Antony Moses Davis – will next month renew his romance with locals when he performs at the inaugural Spring Festival in the capital city of Zimbabwe, Harare.

The renowned dancehall star, who will be visiting our shores for the first time in seven years after starring at the Lion Lager Festival, is also expected to add variety at the festival slated for Alex Sports Club on August 26.

Award-winning stable – 2 Kings Entertainment – is behind this festival set to become a permanent feature.

In an interview, 2 Kings Entertainment spokesperson – Dee Nosh – said all was in place for the event which parading an array of top performers.

“As 2 Kings, we have introduced a new themed event dubbed Spring Festival 2017 at Alex Sports Club, which caters for various genres.

“We are adding a Jamaican artiste (Beenie Man) to the list of locals which include Winky D, Jah Prayzah, Soul Jah Love, Queen Vee, Cindy, Rob Macson, Rax the DJ, Raydizz, Juice , Selecta and Judgement Yard,” said Dee Nosh.

“It’s going to be an annual event and we decided to hold it on the last day of the Harare Agricultural show.

“Last year, we hosted Mafikizolo and KO and it was a huge success. This time around, we are hosting Beenie Man, another crowd puller.

“Since we have been holding most events in HICC, we have decided to move to an outdoor place for mixed crowd.

“Being the first edition, we urge fans and all races to come and have fun with us.”

Meanwhile, 2 Kings Entertainment has lined up a number of gigs comprising Winky’s show at Midlands Hotel on August 11.

Prior to that show, 2 Kings Entertainment will hold the Winter Festival on July 29 at Midlands Hotel, Gweru to be headlined by Seh Calaz.

Afterwards, the stable hosts Winky D again on August 12 at the Caravan Park in Zvishavane.

On September, the stable hosts Mafikizolo for the first time at Kadoma Oddessy Hotel where the South African pop outfit will be supported by Jah Prayzah and Oliver Mtukudzi.

The biggest party will then be held on October 14 in Bulawayo where Mafikizolo and Jah Prayzah will alternate under one roof at the Large City Hall.
