It has been all smiles to the bank for the month of April for artists at the centre as they got handsomely paid for their many sculptures bought by various international buyers and collectors.
AVAC Arts was the biggest single contributor to the total sales figure and commission contributor over the short time they have been involved at the centre managing the website. Artists expressed their joy and gratitude to what AVAC Arts is doing as far as marketing their work is concerned.
“As AVAC Arts we are proud of the response that we are getting from the web initiative given that the site is still work in progress. We are getting very positive feedback from the international art loving community and we have already started getting orders and selling. Our duty as a trade facilitation and promotion social enterprise is to market artists and their artworks globally. We adhere to fair trade practices and hence the artists stand to benefit more through our involvement.” said the AVAC Arts Founding Director Terrence T. Musiyiwa.
At the moment AVAC Arts is working together with more than 100 artists and they are targeting to reach 500 artists by the end of the year.
